Terms of Use

These terms apply when you use Filters, an iPhone and iPad app that searches your photo library by colour. By downloading or using the app you accept them.

Licence

Filters is licensed to you, not sold. You may install and use it on devices you own or control, in line with the App Store Terms of Service. You may not redistribute it, sell it, rent it, or attempt to derive its source code.

Free and Pro

Filters is free to download and use across the last twelve months of your photo library, with every filter available. Pro removes that date ceiling and searches your entire library.

• Pro Lifetime — $19.99 as a one-time purchase.
• Pro Yearly — $9.99 per year.

Prices are in US dollars; your local App Store price is set by Apple and may differ. Both options unlock the same features.

Subscriptions

A yearly subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it in Settings on your device — the developer cannot cancel it for you. Cancelling stops future renewals; access continues until the end of the period you have paid for.

Refunds

All purchases are made through Apple, and refunds are handled by Apple under its own policy. Requests go through Apple’s support site, not through the developer.

Your photos

Your photos are yours. Filters reads your library to build a local index and never writes to it, never uploads it, and claims no rights over anything it reads. See the privacy policy for the detail.

Acceptable use

Use Filters lawfully, and only on a photo library you are entitled to access. Do not use it to circumvent device security, and do not attempt to interfere with the app’s operation on someone else’s device.

Accuracy

Colour dominance and busyness are measured directly from image data. Subject recognition relies on Apple’s Vision framework and is approximate — it will occasionally miss a subject or misidentify one. Filters is a tool for finding photographs, not a system of record, and results should not be relied on where accuracy is critical.

Availability and changes

The app is under active development. Features may be added, changed, or removed between versions. Anything paid for under Pro Lifetime remains available to you; it will not be moved behind a further purchase.

No warranty

Filters is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. It does not modify or delete your photos, but you remain responsible for keeping your own backups.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the jurisdiction in which the developer is established. Nothing in them affects the statutory consumer rights you have where you live.

Changes to these terms

Updated terms will be published on this page. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
